A SYMBOL OF DEMOCRATIC PUBLIC SPACE IN THE ERA OF DIVERSITY
The LANDSCAPE TRAIN is designed for one of the historical parks in the city of Mariupol, Ukraine. Since the birth of the park in 1863, The location of this object used to have several generations of fountains in different designs. Thus, the original design of the fountain had been lost a century ago and that freed us to propose a new idea of the object.
The LANDSCAPE TRAIN is an up to date public space furniture for our current society that serves to fulfill the wish of diverse users and diverse program across all seasons. And the large proportion of permeable ground surface is highly sustainable comparing to the current situation that is fully paved. The object consists of a variety of landscape elements yet has unity and monumentalism to be one of the new landmarks of Mariupol.
